What is Art?

Well art can mean different things to other people. In my opinion art means something that you can express yourself on how you feel, and to send some kind of message out to the public. There are different types of art there is photography art, sculpture art, lines all over the place and also be called art, and even object are counted as art. If you have an imagination and what ever you imagine and you put it on paper no matter how crappy or how good the piece is it could be counted like art. I would like to know your opinion on what art means to you.

What are pigments?

Well pigments according to the dictionary means "Dry coloring matter, usually an insoluble powder, to be mixed with water, oil, or another base to produce paint and similar products." Something that was pretty interesting when I was looking up information about pigments was that there are two types of pigments. Those two types of pigments are organic pigments and inorganic pigments. Organic pigments are group of colors that are synthetically produced through complex carbon-containing chemistry involving various materials including petroleum, coal tar and natural gas. Inorganic pigments are produced either with naturally mined pigments (sienna, umber, ochre) or with synthetically manufactured pigments, (iron oxide, carbon black, etc).Something that was also interesting was that pigments before it was illegal to have toxic pigments they were toxic but since it is illegal now they had to take them out of the stores and not sell them no more if you wanted to buy that type of paint then you could but it would be pretty hard to find.

What is the Industrial revolution? How did it affect the art?

The industrial revolution began in Great Britain around the mid 1700's. Before the industrial revolution families would make the stuff that they need in their own homes. The industrial revolution was not all negative stuff but also positive things. In the year 1760 was when there were alot of things being invented. For example in the year 1764 this English man James Hargreaves invents the spinning Jenny this invention was really helpful because it speed up the the thread production. Well in my opinion the way that the industrial revolution affected the art was that people started seeing all the things that were going on and the stuff that were being invented and they had more ideas of what to draw and what ever was drawn it was new for people so the people that were able to afford the paintings bought them because they thought they were so interesting.

What's the purppose of having a blog

In my opinion the purpose of having a blog is to educate other people about important things that are going around the world or stuff that had happened in the past. Another reason for having a blog is to show other people what you have been working in class or at work if you are not a student.A blog is also a place were people can comment what you had written about a certain topic.
