This entire art project we have been creating primary colors except for White & Black. This has been a very awesome experience because I mean if you want to paint something why not just go to the store and get the paint you want. But it is alot funner to create your own paint because you get to mess with different chemicals. But making these paints may be a bit dangerous if you don't do it safely. The reason I say this is because we were making lead yellow so we had to take more safety tips. Before we even made the lead yellow we had to wear goggles, and have gloves on even if you weren't going to be working with it.
We also made black and I thought that making this one was alot more fun because once the acid was pored into the white powder and was stirred it had this nasty smell but then it started raising up from the beaker and when it was done reacting and we would touch the beaker it was pretty hot. We also had to use goggles before making this black paint and we had to wear gloves not just any type of gloves we had to wear like dish washing gloves due to the fact that we were working with acid.
The only thing that I didn't like was that we had to write down the procedure , observations, balance any chemical formulas if needed, and find the moles of certain formulas with certain grams. Other then that it was a pretty cool experience.

The pianist
When I first saw the cover of the The Pianist Movie I thought it was going to be very boring. But once I started seeing the moving it was really sad and it had a great impact on me because I mean I don't have any family member that had to go trough all the abuse, and seeing their, family, friends, and little kids die right in front of them just because they did one little thing wrong. But I mean just watching this movie made me feel like I was the one that was going through all the things the Jewish people had to go through. It was a really good movie because the person that had made the movie was an actual person that had to go through all that so it made it alot stronger. They made it so realistic because they actually had scenes of videos that had been taken during the actual killing and stuff like that.
I really recommend this movie it really good and it gives you a visual to see how they treated the Jews.

Was it justified for the US to bomb Japan?
Many people have argued if it was right or wrong for the US to bomb Japan. I believe that it was right for the US to bomb Japan because they wanted revenge due to Japan bombing Pearl Harbor. It was said that 2,390 Americans had lost their lives. Three American battle ships, the USS Arizona, the USS Utah, and the USS Oklahoma, were totally destroyed. The Japanese also destroyed lots of aircrafts.(You can visit this website for more information about World War II) http://www.ohiohistorycentral.org/entry.php?rec=1580 .
Another reason that the US bombed Japan was they wanted to end war as soon as possible because it was costing alot of many and it was costing many lives not just soldiers lives but citizens as well I was doing some research of what could of been the Cons of not dropping the the bombs. It was said that if they would of continued fighting they would of spent 300 billion dollars on war efforts. The US. soldiers were undergoing harsh treatment by the unmerciful Japanese. That was another reason why the war also needed to be stopped.
Many people say that three days was enough time for the Japanese to surrender and that the warning was not specified with details. But in my opinion it shouldn't mater to specify what kind of attack it would be a threat under such conditions should be taken seriously. (Visit this website to know more if the Atomic bomb was the right choice) http://www.freeessays.cc/db/43/sxg108.shtml
So once again I repeat it was right for the US to bomb Japan because it could of killed thousands but it saved millions.
I would also like to know what you think so leave any comments.

3 Art pieces
These three art pieces were chosen from my art journal out of 12 art pieces. The reason that I chose these is not just because they are the better looking ones then the other ones but because I feel I can take these three art pieces to some other level change the color of it or experiment with it. I have put all three of these paintings into photoshop and have been experimenting with colors and shapes. The bottom pictures are the ones edited in photoshop. The other three are the original ones.

- What would you consider art? I really liked his response because he said that art can be displayed with different medias.
- What makes an art piece a good art piece? He had mentioned that everyone has different opinions about art so for him a certain art piece could be good but for some one else it could suck.
- What things are important in art? He said that the thing that is important is the impact that the viewer will have thats the important thing about art.
I had 6 questions in total but the other three I mentioned them in the sentence explaining the museum.
Well thats all I could say about my experience if you have any comments or questions then just leave me a comment and I will try to answer them the best I can.

Secret Field trip
Model of the entire thing
The whole thing
Taken By: Guadalupe
I woke up yesterday all excited because we were going to this secret field trip we had no idea where we where going. I get to school and we get into the cars and we had to sit 2 hours so I was expecting something good. we finally get were we are suppose to be at. Everyone was really surprised some people were like this is the surprise. I thought it was pretty cool because I had never seen something like that. It looked like if we were in some kind of Jesus wonder land because in every wall it said Jesus is love and it had Jesus name all over the place. The placed that we had gone to was called Salvations Mountain. I really liked the fact that everything that was their was hand made even the fake trees were made by tires. and stuff like that.
What is Oil paint?
I know this is an open site but it had some very helpful information because it talks about what is oil paint. Something that was very interesting was the process of oil paint. They mentioned that the way that oil painting is the process of painting with pigments that are bound with medium of drying oil. They also mentioned different types of oil like frankincense; poppyseed oil, walnut oil, and safflower oil. They also mentioned the techniques of how they began. If you want to know more information on the techniques just go to this website

What is Egg tempera?
http://gallery.sjsu.edu/arth198/painting/tempera.html
While I was doing my research on what egg tempera was and I ran in to this cool website because it talks about how egg tempera is one of the oldest pigments. It also mentions how egg tempera can be made by using pigments, egg yolk, and water. It also talks about the history of tempera and how it was used in certain religions and stuff like that. The best part about this website was that is shows you step by step on how to do egg tempera. So if you ever want to try and do your own then just visit this website.

Is Kids tempera different from Egg tempera?
Well many people think that kids tempera and egg tempera are the same but the truth is that they are not because egg tempera contains egg yolk, Water, and pigments. When you buy paint from the store and u star painting you can use any kind of paper to paint and nothing will happen and you can use big chunks of paint. For egg tempera it is different because "Egg tempera must be painted on a rigid surface, such as a wooden panel. It cannot be used on paper or canvas. Although egg tempera dries to a tough film, it also grows brittle. It will flake off a flexible surface".And you can not use big chunks of egg tempera because it will crack.
